Missionary Talks 23: Stories from Peru

Filed under: Podcast,Show Notes — David Peach at 10:47 pm on Monday, April 16, 2007

I spoke with Rich Brunner and Robby Spencer. Robby is a senior in high school and has been on a few different missions trips. Rich currently pastors the young adults at his church, but has already started raising his support to move to Mexico as a full time missionary.

In this show we simply shared stories of things that each of us had experienced on different trips to the country of Peru. Rich mentions in the show that he would be glad to give information about different short term missions opportunities. Feel free to contact him for further information. He can be reached by email or contacting his church.

The group that travels to Peru to do literature distribution with the Quechua Indians is called Andes Blanket.

Missionary Talks 22: David and Crystal Houghton

Filed under: Podcast,Show Notes — David Peach at 10:10 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2007

I enjoyed sitting down with David and Crystal this last week when I was in the city of Tampico, Mexico. Tampico is north of the city of Veracruz by about 8 hours. They have been in Tampico for almost 2 years as missionary interns. They will be returning to the US this summer to start raising their support as career missionaries. They plan to return to the country of Mexico to start a Deaf church.

This interview was a bit different in that we were tired and ready for bed. Very ready. We had been busy for several days with other missionaries getting ready for camp that will be coming up in a few months. We were sleep deprived when we recorded this. So you might notice a lack of enthusiasm. But, I am glad to be able to bring you this interview.

Visit their website for further information about them.
